Methods Forty rats were randomized into normal control group and FS group. The normal control group was fed with conventional forage. FS group was fed with dry forage mixed with FS powder for 3 months, the preliminary dose of FS was 200 mgkg^(-1)d^(-1) and then increased progressively by l00 mgkg^(-1)d^(-1) to ensure over half of the rats having diarrhea, and the final dose was 2800 mgkg^(-1)d^(-1).
