Of the 36 tussah silkworm varieties, the Nei's genetic diversity index was 0.3243±0.1515, and Shannon information index was 0.4871±0.1975, suggesting that bivoltine tussah silkworm varieties are still rich in genetic diversity even having been conserved in the same place for quite long time. A total of 19,781 insect individuals belonging to 959 morphospecies, 145 families and 15 orders were collected.
