A model is initially developed based on the in the integer programming, whose objective function is subject to the minimization of the total re-shuffle containers. To reduce the total number of reshuffles for retrieving the containers, a hybrid algorithm, which combines heuristic rule and distributed genetic algorithm, is employed to solve the model.
