Firstly, with Gaussianizing filter being defined explicitly, a practical method on filtering performance evaluation is given. Secondly, two typical Gaussianizing filters are studied. One is called the U-filter, based on the probability density function and its derivate. The other is called the G-filter, based on the cumulative distribution function and its inverse. After implementation, mechanisms and performances of each filter are contrastively discussed, an example with lake trial is illustrated.
