Fragmentation behavior of xanthones by tandem mass spectrometry and analysis of the constituents in four crude extracts from Halenia Elliptica D. Don Firstly, in order to find the relationship between the structural characterization and the mass spectrometric behavior, eight xanthones isolated from Halenia Elliptica D. Don and nine semi-synthetic xanthones was systematically investigated by positive and negative ion ESI-MS〓 and APCI-MS〓.
