Beginning with two perspectives on regionalism-now and here, the author analyses two kind of phenomenon in the practice of critical regionalism theory in China: contemporary local culture neglected and local culture outmatched by architects' personal style. In addition to this, the author attempts to find a solution from outstanding works of local architects, and to deepen understanding of critical regionalism.
