Cu-C composite is one of the most potential materials for pantograph slide plate, which is an important component of pantograph system in locomotive. The principle of wettability between Cu and C was investigated in this paper. The element of Mo was selected to improve the wettability between Cu and C. The fabrication process of cold compression sintering fiber reinforced Cu-C composite and its effect on the composite property were studied. The wear and friction mechanism of Cu-C composite was investigated initially by electriferous friction test.

The results show that the composite coating is metallurgically bonded to the substrate and the microstructure is fine and uniform. The hardness of the composite coating is up to 400 HV, which is 2.5 times that of the substrate. Under room temperature and oil lubrication condition, the sliding wear tests indicate the friction coefficient and weight loss of the composite coating are smaller than those of substrate. The worn surface of the composite coatings is much smoother than that of the substrate, without grooves and crater.

This reveals that BMP, brought into the bone marrow with HA as a carrier, accelerates osteogenesis or osteoinduction, providing sime bone marrow cells with more differentiative potential.
