A oil warehouse was served under the backgroud of engneering application in this paper. Based on analyse and distinguish of oilcan fire, hazardous factors in explosion and accidental characteristics, consequently, inherent hazard scale of the oilcan section was educed by using DOW's fire explosive index method.
