MATERAIL AND METHODS: The cell proliferation inhibition was measured by (3-[4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl]-2,5 diphenyl tetrazolium bromid,MTT) colorimetric assay. The feasibility of determining the pentosan in pre-extraction liquor from eucalyptus chips by using Douglas colorimetric method was discussed in this paper. The visible spectrums of xylose, glucose, mannose, galactose and kraft lignin were compared under the same color reaction conditions. Methods The retinae of 6 postnatal 2-3 days Sprague-Dawley rats were dissociated into cell suspension with trypsin digestion.
