Based on the structure of a non-tracking internal-concentrator solar PV-thermal tube collector and the absorber design requirements, the optical design for the compound parabolic concentrator with half cylinder absorber is proposed to improve the solar energy efficiency. Matlab software was used for the optimization and simulation of the concentrator curve and shape.
