On the basis of briefing the features of deposit products in American banking and the main problems existing in Chinese banking's deposit product design, the paper proposes the following suggestions:(1) quickening the reform of interest rate liberalization to enhance bank's autonomous operation;(2) adding product elements to balance the rights and obligations between depositors and banks;(3)differentiating transaction of funds from bank's service to improve the deposit pricing approache;(4)enriching product catalogues to provide more choices for clients;(5) changing the designing notion that lacks differentiation to pay more attention to market segmentation.
