To approach its" mechanism of action, we carded out this experiment. The SD rats were objects in this experiment. We made rat focal cerebral ischemia model with middle cerebral artery occlusion using a thread block technique. We gave a mark of the neurologic impairment in rat and detected the contents of calcitonin gene-related peptide and neuropeptide Y in rats" cornu ammonis and brain mantle respectively by electro-acupuncture on shuigou(DU 26) acupoint.
