Chapter 5: The fluorescence quenching reactions of barbaloin with serum albumin in solution were studied. The quenching mechanism of serum albumin by barbaloin was interpreted using the Stern-Volmer mechanism. The binding constant K values and the number of binding sites were calculated, respectively.
