This paper presents a self-adaptive load balancing algorithm, in which each peer creates a local load distribution view using a passive load statistic method and a local file requested view using file requested statistic method. When load imbalance exists in the system, the heavy loaded peer will make the logical links which point to itself to point to a light loaded peer in its local load distribution view, with the indegree of the heavy loaded peer decreasing and the indegree of the light loaded peer increasing, the load imbalance magnitude will decrease. When the request load of the heavy loaded peer is high, the peer will use its local file request view to get the popular file and cache the file to corresponding target peer.

Chapter 2 is devoted to study of exact solutions of the nonlinear evolution equations. Using solutions of a Bernoulli equation instead of tanh in tanh-function method we find some more general solutions of the KdV-Burgers-Kuramoto equation , and by using the nonlinear telegraph equation we show that there are many different choices on its balancing number m and the power n of the nonlinear term in Bernoulli equation by which we can recover the previously known solutions and also can derive new square root type solitary wave solutions. Exact solitary wave solutions for a surface wave equation are obtained by means of the homogeneous balance method. We also present an approach for constructing the solitary wave solutions and non-solitary wave solutions of the nonlinear evolution equations by using the homogeneous balance method directly, which is also used to find the steady state solutions, solitary wave solutions and the non-solitary wave solutions of the 2+1 dimensional dispersive long wave equations. The soliton-like solutions of the BLMP equation and the 2+1 dimensional breaking soliton equation are found by use of the symbolic-computation-based Method.

In the second part of of this thesis, we firstly derivate the operation condition of intracavity SHG of dualwavelength laser from the rate equation, and then numerically calculate the relationship between the laser operation parpmeters and the pumping powers. And then we discuss two possible ways to get balancing outputs of the harmonic waves of the two wavelengths. By comparing the two ways, we find that the method by increasing the geometrical factor of 1079. 5nm SHG has the higher efficiency than the method by adding the additional loss of 1079. 5nm basic wave. Besides, the first method is easier to realize in experiment than the second method.
