The purpose of this study is to screen microorganisms with growth inhibition against plant fungal pathogens. The plate-dilution method was used to isolate the bacteria from salt marshes at Dafeng, Jiangsu. The antifungal activity of the bacterial broth filtrates against 5 phytopathogens was determined using mycelial disk method. The antifungal compositions of four active bacteria were analyzed primarily with chromatography techniques. Two hundred and thirty-five aerobic (92) and anaerobic (143) bacterial strains have been isolated from the coast salt marsh and sixty-five strains, of which 39 are aerobic and 26 are anaerobic showed greater than 30% of inhibition rate against the growth of at least one of the phytopathogenic fungi on petri dish.

In this paper,the forming mechanism and affecting favtor of bulk metallic glasses is systematically discussed from the aspects of thermodynamic, kinetic and microstructure . Thermodynamic factors which favor the amorphization of alloys analyzed, the glass forming range of ternary alloys system was proposed by using Miedema theory, Toop model and considering the influence of free energy of pure metals at different temperature. The approach was applied to predict the composition range of amorphous Mg-Cu-La alloys. Several methods(such as three empirical criterions ,binary alloys phase diagram , Miedema theory and Toop mode) were used to design a series of Mg65Cu25La10 、Mg68Cu17La15 and Mg57Cu23La20 alloys, These bulk amorphous alloys with maximum diameter thickness reaching to 1mm were prepared by means of graphite-molding casting though the raw materials are of a low purity by conventional casting processes at a low cooling rate.

Reactive oxygen species causing DNA oxidative damage comes from two kinds of ways:one is from cellular normal physiological metabolism;the other is from outer environment.Redox-sensitive green fluorescent protein was expressed in Saccharomyces cerevisiae.Recombinant cells were evaluated in monitoring the changes in the redox state of living cells when challenged with toxicologically relevant metal ions NaAsO_2 or Pb(NO_3)_2 by measuring emission intensity at 510 nm with a Hitachi F6500 fluorescence spectrophotometer,roGFP expressed in yeast responded not only to typical membrane-permeant oxidants H_2O_2 and reductants DTT,but also to toxicological metal ion-induced intracellular redox changes in a dose-dependent manner.Moreover,exposure of yeast cells to NaAsO_2 or Pb(NO_3)_2 at concentrations that induced redox changes reported by roGFP caused up to 2～3 fold increases in DNA mutation frequency.This mutagenic effect was largely caused by oxidative stress since blocking the production of hydryl radicals with thiourea significantly reduced the mutation rate as well as delayed the cell death.
