Preliminary results indicated that 1.2% zuelaemycin EW provided excellent control of apple canker. The control efficacy of 1.2% zuelaemycin EW with ED50 was 28.7 mg/kg, superior to that of asomate with ED50 of 35.6 mg/kg. Toxicity of 1.2% zuelaemycin EW was 1.24 times higher than that of 40% asomate WP. The apple tree,s wound healing treated by 1.2% zuelaemycin EW was 49.94%, superior to that of asomate. The relative control efficacy of zuelaemycin was 88.17%.
