There is still no effective method on effectively curing this disease. In this paper, egg-yolk antibody against WSSV was prepared and its effectiveness on preventing and curing this disease was tested. In order to get adequate WSSV antigen, the differential-speed centrifugation and the sucrose gradient ultracentrifugation were used to isolate and purify WSSV from the foregut and gill tissues of shrimps affected with WSSV.
