RESULTS Duodenal ulcer was the first cause of upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage. The uses of ranitidine, famotidine, pPI, reptilase, octreotide, early endoscopy and endoscopic therapy may play a role in improving the therapeutic effect of hemostasis, reducing the hospitalization and the mortality.
