To elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying the neural plasticity after CNS injury, the gene expression profile in the rat hippocampus following perforant path transections was explored by several methods including custom differential screening, custom cDNA array and cDNA microarray. Of 2300 cDNA clones from low-abundance rat brain cDNA bank, 6 were identified as differentially expressed genes/ESTs in the hippocampus 35 days after lesion, in which none was confirmed by Northern blot. Of 8000 cDNA elements, custom cDNA array identified 47 as differentially expressed genes/ESTs with above 3-fold changes in the hippocampus 35 days after lesion, in which 25 were up-regulated and 22 down-regulated.

目的 探讨影响慢性硬膜下血肿（chronic subdural hematoma，csdh）术后复发的因素。方法回顾2003～2004年本院手术治疗的113例csdh患者，并结合有关文献进行相关分析。结果术后复发5例，死亡1例，复发率和死亡率分别为4.4%和0.9%。复发的5例患者平均年龄69.6岁。其中因服用抗凝剂复发1例，因术后大量颅内积气复发1例，高密度复发1例，等密度到混杂密度复发2例。结论患者的年龄、凝血机制异常、血肿的密度、术后积气和引流量的多少影响csdh患者的预后。

RESULTS:①MRI scanning from coronal section: after 10 mL contrast-medium injection, in the center of medial knee joint, high visual signal was seen in the cavity of joint; after 15 mL contrast-medium injection, scanning between femora and patella, high visual signals were observed; after 20 mL contrast-medium injection, scanning by posterior internal and external condyle of knee, high visual signals were found in 80% of internal and external recess of posterosuperior of thighbone.

RESULTS: After 24 hours of preinduction, cells changed from spindle to polygonal or irregular, with many short rod-shape processes and 2-3 nucleoli. Whirlpool shape growth disappeared, and was disordered. After 1-3 hours of induction, cells gradually became round, with significant cell contraction, strong refraction, bipolar or pluripolar processes connected each other into a net. After 5 hours of induction, grades one and two branches were detected.
