Objective To investigate the clinical effect of PPH in the treatment of gerontism severe mixed hemorrhoids.Methods One hundred and fourteen patients with severe mixed hemorrhoids,hospitalized to our hospital from 2002 to 2005,were treated with PPH and Milligan-Margan.Operative time,length of hospitalization,time return to work and complication of two groups were compared.
