The degradation of PAHs at 0.03, 0.3, and 3 mg/g soil, either added singly or as mixtures, were evaluated for their evolved CO2 in Biometer flasks. The contaminated soil was later Soxhlet extracted with hexane. The extracts were evaporated, redissolved in dimethyl sulfoxide, and subjected for Microtox assay and Medaka embryo toxicity test. The evolved CO2 from singly PAHs addition was correlated with concentration gradient.

The adsorbed amount of the PAHs tended to increase with their increasing concentrations.
