Parliamentary Opposition Leader Lim Kit Siang has on last Thursday submitted a written motion to the Speaker under Standing Order 27(3) to refer MP for Kuala Kangsar and Minister for International Trade and Industry, YB Rafidah Aziz to the Committee of Privileges to inquire whether there is any breach of privilege in her written answer to YB Parliamentary Opposition Leader and MP for Ipoh Timor Lim Kit Siang on 20th September 2005 when answering the question on "the abuses in the issue of APs to import cars, why the sudden jump in the issue of APs in 2004 and 2005 as compared to previous years, and release the full APs lists since 1987 including individual APs."

Methods Fifteen dogs were randomly divided into 3 groups. Group A acted as the control group without CPB; group B and group C were subjected to cardiopulmonary bypass and crossclamping the aorta for 90 min. The results showed:(1) MP polymerase chain reaction test showed positive results in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid from all of the MP-infected rats (infectious group, n=4), while they were all negative in BALF from the control group (n=4,P＜0.05) and from those rats both infected with MP and, at the same time, treated with erythromycin (treating group n=4,P＜0.05). Bacterial cultures of the bronchial and lung tissue were negative in all three groups. Using transmission electron microscope the widened interalveolar septa with increased amount of collagen were found in the infectious group, while there were no obvious abnormalities in the other two groups.

结果显示：(1)感染组动物(n=4)支气管肺泡灌洗液肺炎支原体-PCR检测均为阳性，而对照组(n=4)和感染加红霉素治疗组动物(n=4)均为阴性(P＜0.05)；三组动物的支气管和肺组织常规细菌培养结果均为阴性；感染组动物透射电镜检查见肺泡间隔增宽，其中有较多胶原纤维堆积，其余两组则未见明显异常。

Observation with transmission electron microscope showed that interalveolar septa were widened with increased amount of collagen in the MP infected rats while there were no obvious abnormalities in the other two groups.(2) Positive expression of bFGF mRNA were found in alveolar walls of MP infected rats. No expression of bFGF mRNA was found in control animals. In the rats infected with MP but treated with erythromycin positive expression of bFGF mRNA was found to be scarcely distributed in alveolar walls.
