Results The functions of major organs in group HVHF improved obviously,and the MODS morbidity and mortality reduced significantly,compared with that in group HVHF. ENIAF and ECKR combining activity in group HVHF decreased much slowly through the treatment or HVHF than that in group MODS(P 0.01). After hemofiltration the plasma levels of TNF α IL-1β IL-6 IL-8 in group HVHF descended significantly compared with those in group MODS (P.01).Except TNF α, IL-1β.IL-6 IL-8 and IL-10 were detectable in ultrafiltrate.

Results: 1 The capacity of engulfment of A549 cells started enhancing at the 1h of preincubation with dexamethasone, reached the highest at the 4h of preincubation,At the 8h、24h of preincubation the capacity of engulfment evidently reduced. 2 Glucocorticoid cytosolic receptors antagonist RU38486 inhibited the improved engulfment ability by dexamethasone. 3Phagocytosing apoptotic eosinophils did not change the release of IL-6 and IL-8,but can inhibited the release of IL-6 and IL-8 from A549 cells stimulated by lipopolysaccharide. 4Increasely uptaking by dexamethasone also did not agitate the release of IL-6 and IL-8 from A549 cells. Conclusion: 1Dexamethasome improve the phagocyte capacity for apoptotic eosinophils of A549 cells by glucocorticoid cytosolic receptors, and the effect presents time-dependently. 2Phagocytosis of apoptotic eosinphils can degrade inflammatory reflection, so it is likely to be critical in the control of asthma inflammation.

Conbining previous results with our results, we conclude that the soluble gp130 mutant containing CBD can antagonize the biological activities of IL-6 by competitively binding IL-6/IL-6Rα with wild-type gp130, and the membraneanchored mutant could transduce IL-6 signal, but its efficiancy was much lower than that of wild-type gp130, therefore, we thought the Ig-like module also played an important role in IL-6 signal transduction by involving in the formation of a hexameric IL-6 receptor complex.

Results In HFRS cases from febrile stage to polyuric stage,serum levels of TNFα、IL-1β、IFNγ、IL-2、E-selectin、L-selectin and ICAM-1 were significantly increased as compared with control group( P ＜0.05～0.01),on the contrary, serum IL-4 and TGFβ-1 were significantly decreased and the IFNγ/IL-10 ratio was remarkablely elevated at the same time, though serum IL-10 level was higher than normal values.

Results The activation of NF-κB, proliferation response, and expression of IL-4 and I L-5 mRNA and protein in T lymphocytes stimulated by PMA were significantly hig her than those of their blank control (P.01), while those indexes of T l ymphocytes stimulated by PMA and PDTC simultaneously were significantly lower th an those stimulated by PMA alone (P.01). The apoptotic index of T lympho cytes stimulated with PMA were significantly lower than that of their blank cont rol (P.01), and the apoptotic index of asthmatic guinea pig T lymphocytes stimulated with PMA and PDTC simultaneously were significantly higher than that stimulated by PMA alone (P.01). The significant positive correlations w ere found between the activation of NF-κB and the proliferation (r=0.64, P.001), and the expression of IL-4 and IL-5 mRNA and protein of T lymph ocytes, respectively (r=0.55-0.68, P.001). There was also signific ant negative correlation between the activation of NF-κB and apoptosis of T l ymphocytes (r=0.62, P.001). Conclusions NF-κB may participate in the signal conduction of PKC regulated proliferation, apoptosis and expression of IL-4 and IL-5 of T lymphocytes in asthma.

A new general kinetic equation was derived in which the effect of the removal of condensation water was taken into account completely, and was applied to the polyesterification kinetic study of AA/HPHP and AA/NPG. It was found that the reaction order of self-catalyzed polyesterification was not constant. For these polyesterifications, the reaction order was 2.5 at a low temperature, while 3.0 at a high temperature.
