The influence of regional culture to Donggan literature have three facets:literary language,folk custom,effects of writer. The chapter concludes that the activities of remolding classical Chinese by the western preachers at the end of 19~ century are one of the sources of the May 4* new literature, one of the sources of the May 4~ new poetry in particular.
