Results show that, following the leaching time extending, the leaching concentrations of heavy metals and lixiviate toxicity of heavy metals increase in the fly ash. When the ratio of liquid and solid add, the leaching concentrations of heavy metals obviously become big, and the Cd's leaching concentration is the biggest, when the ratio of liquid and solid is 90, the Cd's leaching ratio exceed the percent of 70. At the time pH is about 7, the leaching concentrations of heavy metals are the lowest. When the grain size is the bigger or little, the leaching concentrations of heavy metals are lower, however when the grain size is 250-900 μm, the concentrations are higher. After fly ash melt in the high temperature, the lixiviate toxicity of heavy metals greatly reduce, which explains that the effect of melting on heavy metals' stabilization is very good.

In the paper, the multidentate carboxylic acid ligands were used to combine with Cd, resulting in the three dimensional MOCPs single crystals—C12H16CdN2O8, with a low temperature hydrothermal synthesis method. The sample was characterized with IR spectra to affirm the organic groups in the frameworks, single-crystal X-ray diffraction to determine the crystal structure and composition of the frameworks, N2 adsorption isotherms at low temperature to measure the specific surface area and pore size distribution, and with TGA/DGA analysis to scale the thermal stability. Furthermore, the dissolution property and the photocatalytic activity of MOCPs under the ultraviolet ray condition were explored.

The results show that all aluminum anodizing sludges were slightly neutral to acidic and mainly consist of more than 50% Al2O3; the similar total contents of Cu, Pb, Zn, Ni, Cd, and Cr in the 7 samples were found, namely, the concentrations of Pb, Cd were relatively lower, but that of Cu, Zn, Ni, and Cr were higher; the leaching tests indicate that all the samples were classed as nonhazardous wastes; but each of metals in the sample shows very different leaching behavior, possibly depending on their total contents and the final pH of leachates.
