Alessandro Doria, MD, PhD, from the Joslin Diabetes Center, in Boston, Massachusetts, found that genetic variability in TBX15 was associated with differences in body weight and waist circumference. The researchers presented the findings at the American Diabetes Association 67th Scientific Sessions in Chicago, Illinois.
