A difference in pattern classification on 3D CT was found between benign and malignant SPN. Conclusion: 3D CT can not only stereoscopically demonstrate the abnormal signs of SPN, but can also provide information concerning the anatomic relationship between SPN and adjacent bronchi, vessels and chest wall. Combined 3D with 2D CT, the diagnosis can be improved.

A practical charged membrane which prepared from the blends of sulphonated polyphenylene sulfide/poly can be considered as a 3D lattices. The experimental conductivity was related with a 3D simulation and the result showed the membrane has a transition from insulator to conductor at the ratio of charged components SPPS about 0.144. Obviously, this value falls in the range of a theoretical simulation for a 3D lattices.

By using multi-dimensional nuclear magnetic resonance method we have studied the folding mechanism of staphylococcal nuclease in vitro; the tertiary interactions for folding of SNase fragments into native-like conformation; the interaction between SNase N- and C-terminal subunits; the relationship of enzyme activity with folding and dynamic states of SNase; the structural properties of enzyme protein while exert its function. We have studied the internal motions of thermophilic Archaea protein Ssh10b and mechanism of its heat-resistance using the NMR 1H-15N relaxation and H/D exchange methods. We have determined the 3D solution structure of human translationally controlled tumor protein TCTP and the Ca2+-binding site; determined the 3D crystal structure of human mitoNEET, a novel protein from distinct groups of iron-sulfur proteins; determined the 3D solution structure of a novel chromatin protein Cren7. Determination of SNase-DNA and Archaea protein-DNA complex structures are in progress.

The silhouette of object on the turnable stage has been observed from multiple views through rotating. A bright background has been used to improve the contrast of images. An acquiring and processing system has been built. The 3D reconstruction algorithm has been studied based on Shape from Silhouette, and a 3D octree volume element structure model has been achieved through refining. The data will be used in 3D model repairing of laser scanning method.
