Now why this man's soul was bleeding 现在为什么这个人的灵魂在流血

The angel had to understand 天使必须了解

So invisible, he stood by him 所以看不见，他站在他

He'd never hold a job, 他从来没有拥有一份工作，

Learn to read or ever talk 学会阅读或谈论过

And with those words the father felt 并用这些话的父亲觉得

His entire world falling apart 他的整个世界崩溃

He cried out, why did god have to take her 他哭了出来，神为什么要带她

And if he had never been born 如果他从未出生

If man is made in god's image 如果人是在神的形象

Then something here is surely amiss 那么这里的东西肯定是不妥

For there is nothing of god 因为这个世界上没有神

And then he asked for the child 然后他问孩子

To be placed in a state run home 被放置在一个国营的家

And after he had signed the papers 之后他签署的文件

He walked into that night alone 他走进那个夜晚独自

   

And in this world he found unkind 而在这个世界上，他发现不厚道

He built a wall around his mind 他建立了一堵墙在他的脑海

And every year he'd add new parts 同时，每年他会添加新的部件
