[Chapter I] [第一章]

   

One day his mother said 有一天，他的母亲说：

When Pierre climbed out of bed 当皮埃尔爬下床

-Good morning, darling boy, you are my only joy - 良好的早晨，亲爱的孩子，你是我唯一的快乐

Pierre said-I don't care! 皮埃尔说，我不在乎！

-What would you like to eat? - 什么你想吃点什么？

-I don't care! - 我不在乎！

-Some lovely cream of wheat? 小麦 - 一些可爱的冰淇淋吗？

-I don't care! - 我不在乎！

-Don't sit backwards in your chair - 不要在你的椅子向后坐

-I don't care! - 我不在乎！

-Or pour syrup on your hair - 或糖浆倒入你的头发

-I don't care! - 我不在乎！

-You are acting like a clown - 你都像个小丑

-I don't care! - 我不在乎！

-And we have to go to town - 和我们去城里

-I don't care! - 我不在乎！

-Don't you want to come, my dear? - 不要，你要来，我亲爱的？

-I don't care! - 我不在乎！

-Would you rather stay right here? -Would你宁愿呆在这里？

-I don't care! - 我不在乎！

So his mother left him there 所以，他的母亲离开了他那里

   

[Chapter II] [第二章]

   

His father said-Get off your head 他的父亲说，下车你的头

Or I will march you up to bed! 或者我会进军您睡觉！

Pierre said-I don't care! 皮埃尔说，我不在乎！

-I would think that you could see - - 我会认为你可以看到 -

-I don't care! - 我不在乎！

-Your head is where your feet should be! - 你的头就是你的脚应该是！

-I don't care! - 我不在乎！

-If you keep standing upside down - - 如果你保持倒立 -

-I don't care! - 我不在乎！

-We'll never get to town -Well从来没有到城里

-I don't care! - 我不在乎！

-If only you would say, I care - 如果只有你会说，我不在乎

-I don't care! - 我不在乎！

-I'd let you fold the folding chair -Id让你折折叠椅

-I don't care! - 我不在乎！

So his parents left him there 所以，他的父母留给他的存在

They didn't take him anywhere 他们没有把他在任何地方

   

[Chapter III] [第三章]

   

Now as the night began to fall 现在，作为夜间开始回落

A hungry lion paid a call 一只饥饿的狮子支付通话

He looked Pierre right in the eye 他看着皮埃尔就在眼

And asked him if he'd like to die 问他，如果他想死

Pierre said-I don't care! 皮埃尔说，我不在乎！

-I can eat you, don't you see? - 我可以吃你的，难道你不明白吗？

-I don't care! - 我不在乎！

-And you will be inside of me - 和你将是我的内心

-I don't care! - 我不在乎！

-Then you will never have to bother - - 那么，你将永远不会有麻烦 -

-I don't care! - 我不在乎！

-With a mother and a father - 随着一个母亲和一个父亲

-I don't care! - 我不在乎！

-Is that all you have to say? - 是的你的意见呢？

-I don't care! - 我不在乎！

-Then I'll eat you, if I may - 然后我会吃掉你，如果可以的话

-I don't care! - 我不在乎！

So the lion ate Pierre 所以狮子吃皮埃尔

   

[Chapter IV] [第四章]

   

Arriving home at six o'clock 到家六点

His parents had a dreadful shock! 他的父母有一个可怕的震撼！

They found the lion sick in bed and cried 他们发现狮子病在床上哭了

-Pierre is surely dead! -Pierre肯定是死了！

They pulled the lion by the hair 他们的头发拉狮子

They hit him with the folding chair 他们打他的折叠椅

His mother asked-Where is Pierre? 他妈妈问，哪里是皮埃尔？

The lion answered-I don't care! 狮子回答说，我不在乎！

His father said-Pierre's in there! 他的父亲说，皮埃尔在那里！

   

[Chapter V] [第五章]

   

They rushed the lion into town 他们赶到狮子进城

The doctor shook him up and down 医生摇摇他上下

And when the lion gave a roar 当狮子给吼

Pierre fell out upon the floor 皮埃尔掉了出来在地上

He rubbed his eyes and scratched his head 他揉了揉眼睛，挠了挠头

And laughed because he wasn't dead 开心地笑了，因为他还没有死

His mother cried and held him tight 他的母亲哭着抱着他紧

His father asked-Are you allright? 父亲问，你还好吧？

Pierre said-I am feeling fine 皮埃尔说，我感觉精

Please take me home, it's half past nine 请带我回家，这是九时三十○

   

The lion said-If you would care 狮子说，如果你会关心

To climb on me, I'll take you there 爬在我身上，我带你去

Then everyone looked at Pierre 然后，每个人都看着皮埃尔

Who shouted-Yes, indeed, I care! 谁喊 - 是的，的确，我在乎！

The lion took them home to rest 狮子把它们带回家休息

And stayed on as a weekend guest 并留校为周末做客

The moral of Pierre is: CARE! 皮埃尔的寓意是：关怀！
