Longing for flowers, 向往花，

Dreaming of hours 做梦小时

I know that all of the world is cheery 我知道，世界上所有的是愉快的

By that old cottage door, 由旧平房的门，

I can't fly any more! 我不能飞了！

   

Here I am praying, 我在这里祈祷，

Brokenly saying, 断断续续地说，

"Give me the sun again!", “再一次给我的太阳！ ”

When it's raining from the sky, 当它从天空下着雨，

And I see a butterfly, 而且我看到一只蝴蝶，

I can almost hear him sighing 我几乎可以听到他的叹息

'Cause he has to stop his flying. 因为他必须停止他的飞行。

I can easily sympathise 我可以很容易同情

With those helpless butterflies! 那些无助的蝴蝶！
