Second, using DBU as the base for enolization of propargylic esters of unsaturated acids 18e-k, we developed a tandem Ireland-Claisen rearrangement /isomerization reactions. It has been shown that the reaction sequence affords triene molecules 42a-b and 43a-b in moderated to high yields. Interestingly, with allyl hexa-3,5-dienoates 18i-j as the substrate, the rearranged products underwent further aromatization to give uniquely substituted benzyl acids 44a-b.

To explore new synthetic methods, we set out a careful investigation of the reaction of benzimidazolium salt with many nucleophilic agents, including the active aromatic compounds and heteratom nucleophilic agents, and found that the quaternary C=N is not so active; when benzimidazolium salt is reacted with big nitrogen nucleophilic agent? phthalimide, it does not give the expected addition product, instead, produces N-alkyl phthalimide through alkyl-transfermation from benzimidazolium salt to phthalimide.

In our research, through derivatization of stable calix[4]pyrroles, active substituting units were jointed on the calixpyrrolic skelecton. After acylamide and free radical transfer reaction, the preparation of new calix[4]pyrrole-bonded stationary phases were fulfilled. the separation abilities of them to inorganic and organic anions and medicines were exploited and new analytical methods were established. The separation mechanisms were discussed. At the same time, through using calix[4]pyrroles as additives in CZE to influence the electrophoresis of inorganic anions, the recognition mechanisms and influencing factors in supramolecular chemistry were also studied.
