This study first analyzes boundary condition of single column member and adopts relative joint bending stiffness ratio of AISC to find the effective length factor. For that a structural joint or connection is neither full rigid nor full hinge in practice, this study uses this concept to establish the semi-rigid joint model. This study then discusses the structural behaviors of tapered members results with those from and compares these previous studies.

The axially symmetric torsion of rigid circular shaft of varying diameter embedded in an elastic half space is studied by line-loaded integral equation method, where the problem is formulated by distributions of fictitions fundamental loads PRCHS (point ring couple in half space) along the axis of symmetry in interval of the shaft and is reduced to a one-dimensional and non-singular Fredholm integral equation of the first kind and is easily solved numerically.

One flush end-plate external joint under monotonical loading and the other four joints under cyclic loading were tested. Failure modes and the effects of reinforcement ratio and concrete in column flange were synthetically considered during cyclic loading. Results of the experiments show that external flush end-plate composite joint also have quite hysteretic behaviors, better strength resistance and stiffness that are worth to promotion in seismic area.Based on experimental results and plastic analysis simplified formulas on moment resistance of semi-rigid composite joints were introduced.

The 2, 4 mg tubes and the control tubes were not precipitated except for the 8 mg tube with 10000 r/min configuration. The 3 transparent tubes were desalted with column of Sephadex G-25 Superfine HiTrap respectively. All of the eluents of the 3 tubes were half-diluted consecutively with phosphate buffer saline respectively to change totally into 36 samples of 2 mg group, 4 mg group and control group, with 12 in each group.
