To investigate the pollution levels, occurrence and distribution of estrogens, six estrogens in the surface sediments of Wenyuhe River were analyzed quantitatively by GC/MS following ultrasonicated extraction including diethylstilbestrol, estrone(E1),β-estradiol(E2), 17α-ethynylestradiol(EE2), estriol(E3), and β-estradiol 17-valerate. Six estrogen concentrations ranged from 0.39-36.6ng/g and the mean concentration was 10.2ng/g.

Fe -oxalate complexes system has higher efficiency than the other ferric species systems in photooxidation and degradation of organic compounds. This thesis is focused on the photodegradation of nine EDs estradiol (E2), estrone (E1), 17α-ethynyl estradiol (EE2), diethylstilbestrol , bisphenol-A , 4-Nonylphenol , 4-Octylphenol , di-n-butyl phthalate , and di (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate .

In the pH=7.00 phosphate buffer solution, the ethinylestradiol's electrical behavior has been studied in a detailsed way at the MWNT /graphite modified electrode. The results show that: the ethinylestradiol can generate a sensitive oxidation peak at about +0.550V on the MWNT /graphite modified electrode. The oxidative peak curent was linear to diethyl stilbestrol concentration over the range from 1.00×10-6 to 2.00×10-4 mol/L , the linear regression equation was ip= 2.4144+4.55×104cmol/L, the detection limit was 3.00×10-7 mol/L . The oxidation of ethinylestradiol was attributed to adsorption controlling process at MWNT /graphit modified electrode.
