Examining China's translation and reception of Latin American Literature in the years ranging from 1949 to 1999 from the perspective of Cultural Studies, the essay is designed to discuss the complicated and subtle relationship between translation and politics, translation and ideology, uncover the various kinds of misreading and mislocation, rewriting and miscontextualization in the process of translation and reception, with the purpose of providing new ways of thinking and point of view for the understanding and analyzing the literature and history in contemporary China.
滕威，北京大学中文系比较文学与世界文学02级博士。研究方向为比较文学与世界文学。导师是戴锦华教授。本文在文化研究的视野中考察中国在1949－1999年间对拉丁美洲文学的翻译与接受，关注这一过程中翻译与政治、翻译与意识形态之间复杂微妙的关系，揭示翻译与接受过程中的种种误读与错位、改写与挪用，尝试从不同的角度去观照当代中国的文学与历史。
