橡皮树

橡皮树(Ficus elastica)为桑科常绿大乔木,树高可达25米以上,原产印度、缅甸和马来西亚等地,以印度产最多,故又叫印度橡皮树. 因树内的白乳汁中含有橡胶,当年曾是制作橡胶的主要原料树种,后来才让位给三叶橡皮树而逐渐成为一种观赏树种.
