黄时钟花(Turnera ulmifolia L.)为时钟花科(Turneraceae)时钟花属(Turnera)的常绿灌木或半灌木. 株高约60-90cm,叶互生,长卵形,边缘有锯齿,叶基有一对明显的腺体. 花朵开于枝条末端的叶腋处,花冠金黄色,5瓣,每朵花开至午后即凋谢.

事实上,当我开始寻找生长於枯死的枝条、树干等木质基质上的真菌时,一群属於炭角菌科(Xylariaceae)的真菌很快就吸引了我全部的注意力. 纵然它们大多不具备亮丽的子实体,但是在台湾低海拔地区及其它热带、亚热带地区应该是木质基质上最容易发现到的一类真菌.

[摘要]咖啡木蠹蛾(Zeuzera coffeae Nietner)在我省主要危害荔枝、龙眼、柑桔、茶树等果木. 在我省一年发生一代,幼虫危害荔枝的小枝条或嫩枝,蛀食木质部,切断了树枝的水分输导,造成枯枝. 幼虫在树干里越冬,体长可达35毫米,呈粉红色,(封底图1),3~4月化蛹.
