除了空旷的场所外,其他如人群拥挤的商店、戏院、大众运输工具、电梯、高塔等,也都可能是让患者觉得"无处逃"而畏惧的情境. 过去所谓的"惧高症"(acrophobia)与"惧闭症"(clastrophobia)等,现在也都属于"惧旷症".
